The story

The part before “launch” deserves a product.

Most business software assumes the important decisions are already made. One Small Prompt begins earlier: with a hunch, a constraint, an existing business that feels wrong, or no idea at all.

The workshop deliberately takes its time. It develops several directions, explains tradeoffs, reacts to taste, explores names, builds a visual system, and turns those decisions into a complete private website preview.

The app never asks for payment and does not publish a website. If someone later wants a real home for the result, a separate optional web service offers managed publishing, hosting, and a standard domain or connection of one already owned.

Not a business-idea slot machine. A place to make the whole thing yours.

People start with “I have an idea.” or “I’ve got nothing.”, then work through direction, offer, name, brand, website, and launch decisions. The standalone app runs on-device without an account, purchase, subscription, advertising, analytics, tracking, or automatic publishing. A separate browser workshop is available at onesmallprompt.com; drafts do not sync between it and the app. Optional managed website publishing is a distinct web service.
