Product proof · no borrowed credibility

See the decisions become a business.

Three different fictional beginnings move through direction, name, brand, and a private website. Inspect the work—without pretending these are customer stories.

Every company, input, and output on this page is labeled DEMO. No customers, testimonials, revenue, demand, or performance results are implied.

Demos, not case studies.

Oak & Ember is a fixture from the current app build. Emberbrook and Groove & Grounds are internal website demonstrations assembled from fictional briefs. They show the kind of decisions and artifacts the workshop can hold; they do not show demand, business viability, legal clearance, or customer outcomes.

Three paths · one useful ending

Start anywhere honest.

One begins with constraints and no settled business. One begins with a product instinct. One begins with a place people might want to linger. Each is developed instead of instantly “generated.”

DEMOCurrent app fixture · fictional

Nothing settled. Three real limits.

This is the most literal product walkthrough on the page: current app captures using the fictional Oak & Ember Repairs fixture.

Fictional starting constraints

“Up to $100. One or two days a week. No unscheduled calls.”

Current One Small Prompt directions screen showing three fictional business directions for the Oak and Ember demonstration
The app turns the constraints into three directions with actual work, first customer, first offer, repeat potential, and the hard part shown—not a single magic answer.

Try the same beginning. Four constraints can give you three directions to react to before you enter the full workshop.

A product instinct, still blurry.

This assembled walkthrough uses a fictional brief and a real internal demo site. It shows a possible chain of decisions, not a recorded customer session.

Fictional rough idea

“Small-batch candles that feel like a season and a place—not a giant scent catalog.”

  1. 01 · DirectionA focused seasonal studio

Lead with a small changing collection and the feeling behind each scent.

  2. 02 · NameEmberbrook Candle Studio

Warmth plus place; descriptive enough to understand without flattening the mood.

  3. 03 · BrandQuiet craft, not rustic clutter

Soft cream, ember orange, large editorial type, and generous space.

  4. 04 · WebsiteOne promise before the catalog

“Small-batch candles that smell like the season outside your door.”

Bring the blurry version. The idea path helps you clarify the offer, develop the name, and make taste decisions before the private site is finished.

Start with “I have an idea”
DEMOInternal website build · fictional

Two familiar things, one sharper reason.

This fictional brief starts with a combination, then makes one part serve the other. The site image is a real internal demo—not a live venue.

Fictional rough idea

“A record shop and coffee bar under one roof. I want it to feel like a place to stay.”

  1. 01 · DirectionBrowsing is the event

Records create discovery; coffee gives people a reason to take their time.

  2. 02 · NameGroove & Grounds

A plain pairing that makes the two-part offer immediately legible.

  3. 03 · BrandListening-room confidence

Near-black, warm rust, compact navigation, and oversized direct type.

  4. 04 · WebsiteLead with the behavior

“Dig for records. Stay for the coffee.” The concept is clear before the details.

Make the idea more specific. Keep the premise, reject it, or combine useful parts—the workshop is built around decisions you can see.

The honest reading

What this gallery proves—and what it cannot.

Good proof has edges. You should be able to tell exactly what you are looking at.

You can inspect

  • The current app’s decision structure
  • Real current product-screen captures
  • Real internal website demo builds
  • The range of possible visual directions
  • The private-preview-before-publishing sequence

You cannot infer

  • Customers, testimonials, or adoption
  • Revenue, conversion, or market demand
  • Profitability or business viability
  • Trademark, domain, or legal clearance
  • Guaranteed quality for every input

Your beginning does not need to be impressive

Bring one honest sentence.

Choose the small first pass or develop the whole thing. No account, no card, and no publishing decision before you have something you actually want.

The sampler is a deterministic first pass, not validation. The full workshop starts fresh.
