How the AI allowance actually works

July 14, 2026

Every plan comes with a monthly allowance of engineering credit — the fuel the Flight Engineer burns when it builds and changes things for you. We denominate it in credit rather than raw usage because one genuinely hard build can take more work than a hundred tiny edits, and we would rather you think in terms of "how much can I get done this month" than in tokens.

The rule that matters

If the allowance runs out, your site stays live. Only the engineer rests until the next cycle. Nothing goes down, no card gets surprise-charged, no "your website has been suspended" email lands in your inbox. You can top up, move to a bigger plan, or connect your own AI key and keep going. The site you already have is yours regardless.

On honesty about margins

We make a margin on AI usage and we say so plainly. The hosting, the isolation, the automation, the safety nets — that is where the real work lives, and that is what the plan pays for. The allowance is generous enough to build something real and bounded enough that we never have to send you a bill you did not expect.
