Cleared for launch · bring your own domain

Connect your domain.

Your server is built and holding on the pad. One DNS record at your registrar brings it online — HTTPS and your Flight Deck login follow automatically.

1 · Add this record where your domain lives

Type A
Host @  (or the subdomain you gave us, e.g. shop)
Value 2.24.74.158
TTL Automatic (or 300)

Delete any old A or AAAA record on the same host first — a leftover record pointing elsewhere is the most common snag. Using an apex domain and want www too? Add a CNAME: www → your domain.

2 · Where that setting hides, by registrar

  • Cloudflare — DNS → Records. Set the cloud icon to DNS only (grey, not orange) until your site is live; you can re-enable the proxy afterwards.
  • Namecheap — Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS.
  • GoDaddy — My Products → your domain → DNS.
  • Porkbun — Domain Management → DNS Records.
  • Squarespace / Google Domains — your domain → DNS settings → Custom records.
  • Anywhere else — look for “DNS”, “DNS management”, or “name server records”. You never need to change name servers — just add the one A record.

3 · Then do nothing

We check for your record every five minutes. The moment your domain points at us, your site goes live over HTTPS automatically and we email your Flight Deck console login. There is no button to press on our side.

DNS changes usually land in minutes but can take up to an hour to spread. You can watch propagation at whatsmydns.net — when it shows 2.24.74.158, you're moments away. Stuck? Email hello@onesmallprompt.com and a human will look.
